The Lu Brown Legacy Scholarship

USES AND PURPOSES:

This endowment shall be called the Lu Brown Legacy Scholarship and shall be administered as an

endowment subject to the following stipulations:

1) Current EWU graduate student in the social work program in field placement
2) Minimum GPA 3.0
3) Demonstrated financial need
4) Preference given to students with proven passion for social justice.

Eligible candidates will be identified through the general University Scholarship application and

forwarded to the School of Social Work selection committee. The selection committee will be

comprised of the current Chair/Director and one faculty member of the School of Social

Work, a community social worker and a member of Lu Brown’s family.
